Acer Aspire One Aod250 - What it Has and Doesn't

When seeing at mini notebook computers, sooner or later you will run over the Acer Aspire One Aod250 in its assorted configurations. This diminutive netbook makes a great computer for a pupil or businessman who plainly needs to keep in touch via email, do word processing or spreadsheets, or to surf the web.

However, in late 2009 Acer came out with a version that double-boots with Android. If you are an Android lover this could be very good news. It also comes with the Windows 7 starter.

Netbook Linux

You might hear colse to the web that this Windows 7 starter only allows you to run 3 applications at the same time. Now contrary to those myths running colse to about this, the Windows 7 has no such limitations. You limitations are going to be down to the power of the Acer Aspire One Aod250 itself and its processing ability.

While I mentioned Windows 7 above you will find the computer lover who prefers the older Windows Xp on their own netbooks along with their Acer Aspire One Aod250. This may have a lot to do with Xp being a known factor and older thus more garage whereas 7 is still a relatively newer version. You might also wish to go to some version of Linux rather than using any Windows version.

You can find the Acer Aspire One Aod250 comes with a 10.1 inches screen which will make it easier for you to see what is on the screen. With some netbooks having screens as small as 7 inches, this will seem like a big improvement being that you will be able to see all of a webpage without side to side scrolling unless the webpage is built to do this.

Although this mini laptop comes without a Cd or Dvd drive there are assorted options that will allow you to enable this ability. They range from getting an external Dvd drive to ripping your Dvds on your home computer and using a Usb drive to upload the data to sharing someone else of your computers Dvd drive with it. If the software you want to load is ready online, you can download it directly to your mini notebook computers.

And just because this question did come up, you should know that the Acer Aspire One Aod250 does come with the capability to hook up to the Internet. You do not have to add a modem to the computer unless maybe you only have dial up. In this case, best to get to a coffee shop, school or other collective place that has Wi-Fi and "hook up" wirelessly.
