Hp Mini 100e netbook combines the functions of a typical netbook with the needs of school going children. The prices of the computers have fallen so low that they have got a lot of attentiveness for schools, which also means that the computer manufactures is now bent-upon capturing this new lucrative market.
The best part about the Hp Mini 100e netbook is that it is kid proof. By that, I mean that this netbook is meant to be used roughly, thanks to its shell that is made from hard plastic. It even has a nice chiclet keyboard which is also spill-proof. Hp is selling it with the option of three operating systems - Windows 7 Starter, Windows Xp Home and Linux.

The best part is that the Mini 100e is not based on the Classmate Pcs by Intel which sell for 399 dollars or more.
Coming to its specs, this netbook has a 10.1-inch back-lit display, a 92-percent Qwerty keyboard and comes with a carrying handle. Powered by an Intel Atom N455 1.6Ghz processor, it comes with 1 gigabyte of Ddr3 Ram. The Mini 100e gets a good 4.5 hours on a three-cell battery and 8.5 hours on a 6-cell battery.
